    Abstract
    This study examined on the effects of training on employees’ performance in organizations, case study Stanbic Bank Mukono. The research aimed at five objectives that is to say; to find out the effect of job rotation, mentoring, coaching, classroom training and case studies on employee performance in financial institutions. This research was based on the allegation by Bernardin (2007) that training changed significantly in the last ten years with the evidence showing more organizational investment in training given the concentrated force to compete, improve quality and customer service and lower costs. Therefore, this research was to find out the effect of training on the employees’ performance. This research was based on the sample size of 50 out of the total population of 57, where 40 employees were staff while 17 were part time workers. These were selected using the Amin, M, E., (2005) Sample size selection method. The data collection methods used includes questionnaire, observation which were both qualitative and quantitative. The findings of this study showed that training leads to increased productivity, increased level of team work, time management, make employees be in position to perform different tasks, improves on the quality of work and many others. To this research, different recommendations were made which include getting more training equipment, employing other methods of training like sensitivity and many others and also to improve on the time management in the delivery of services. xiii The researcher therefore suggested that further research be done on this topic in different institutions to especially identify those methods of training that are very essential for their employees so that they resources are assigned resourcefully
